The healthcare support worker apprenticeship is relevant to anyone working in a health and/or social care setting. Healthcare support workers work under the supervision of healthcare professionals to offer a broad spectrum of care to a variety of people.

Over the course of your apprenticeship, you will work in a healthcare setting, combined with classroom training. While at work, you will report to an experienced professional who will guide your development.

What Will I learn on a Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship?

This apprenticeship is ideal for anyone looking to take their first steps into a healthcare support worker role. Your training will include safeguarding, health, safety & security, routine clinical checks, the importance of hydration, nutrition & food safety, end-of-life care, basic life support, legislation & policies, and promoting mental health & wellbeing in a wide range of clinical type settings.
