Who is this apprenticeship suitable for?

Early Years Educators, and other job roles such as nursery nurse and childminders, are highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

Typical job titles include: Childcare worker, Nursery assistant, Nursery teacher, Early years practitioner, Early childhood educator, Reception class teacher, Early years support worker, Family day care worker, Childminder, Playgroup leader and Out of school club leader

They work in a range of settings including full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes and as childminders. They may either be working on their own or supervising others to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by the government for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to 5 years old.

2- Early Years Educator Level 3

What will you learn on the apprenticeship?

As an apprentice on the Early Years Educator Level 3 you will learn about supporting healthy lifestyles, promoting children’s emotional wellbeing, understanding the value of play, and working in partnership with others.

The course consists of an assessment of your practice and the completion of assignments. You will be supported throughout the course by your Personal Tutor.

As a higher-level apprentice, you will be working within childcare at a level where you will either be working on your own or supervising others. You will be placed in a position where you will be able to demonstrate your prior experience in this sector and can demonstrate the competencies required at this level.
