Caroola Group Celebrates £2 Million Milestone in Levy Gifting, Empowering Care, Childcare, and Apprenticeships

Paragon Skills is thrilled to celebrate Caroola Group’s impressive achievement of reaching £2 million in gifted levy, showcasing their dedication to advancing apprenticeship opportunities and supporting growth within the care and childcare sectors.

Caroola Group has reached an impressive milestone of £2 million in their efforts to support apprenticeship training across the UK. In collaboration with Paragon Skills, the company has used its unspent levy funds to sponsor businesses across the care and childcare sectors, helping them upskill and train their workforce with £2 million dedicated to apprenticeship opportunities.

Caroola Group is a leading provider of professional services; offering accountancy, tax, and payroll solutions to the UK’s self-employed community. Since its establishment in May 2017, the company has been a true advocate for apprenticeships, working closely with Paragon Skills to provide valuable apprenticeship opportunities. With over 300 apprentices annually and significant investments in the levy fund, Caroola has made its mark as a key player in both apprenticeship delivery and professional services. Last year, Caroola took a major step forward by launching a dedicated Apprenticeship Academy to further upskill their own team.

But Caroola Group’s commitment to education and development extends beyond its own employees. Through their partnership with Paragon Skills, the company has channelled unspent levy funds to support businesses in the care and childcare sectors, allowing these smaller organisations to access crucial apprenticeship training for their employees. This initiative helps close the skills gap in these vital industries, empowering professionals and improving the services they provide to the community.

By gifting these unspent funds, Caroola Group not only contributes to the growth of its own workforce but also fosters growth in other sectors, making a tangible impact on the future of care and childcare. This collaborative effort reflects the company’s core values of support, empowerment, and long-term positive change.

Andrew Blackmore, Team Manager of Gabby Spencer Properties Ltd. reflects on the impact of Caroola’s gifted levy, which has aided in the funding of apprenticeship training for their organisation:

“The funding that Caroola has provided has allowed our staff to take part in apprenticeships that provide valuable insight into the practices that we use to help care leavers prepare for independence. Staff have fed back that the knowledge they have gained allows them to understand behaviours better and provide more in-depth, holistic care and support for our young people. As a manager, I have seen a marked improvement in the content of keywork sessions delivered by staff and more confidence when dealing with conflict. As a small, family-run business, we would not have access to this level of training without the funding provided by Caroola. It has made a direct and tangible impact on the lives of our young people.”

The £2 million investment is a testament to Caroola Group’s dedication to creating lasting value in both the professional services and care sectors. Their ongoing commitment to apprenticeships offers a blueprint for how businesses can use their resources to benefit the wider community.

Vic Hulse, Head of Learning & Development at Caroola Group, expresses enthusiasm for supporting career development opportunities for Gabby Spencer employees and emphasises the importance of their continued partnerships with Paragon Skills and Gabby Spencer:

“Caroola are delighted to be ale to offer the opportunities to Gabby Spencer employees to further their careers. We look forward to continuing our great partnerships with Paragon Skills and Gabby Spencer to continue the support of their employees.”

Mark Botha, CEO of Paragon Skills, spoke proudly of the partnership:

“We’re thrilled to work alongside Caroola Group, helping them make the most of their unspent levy funds to support training and development in the care and childcare sectors. By investing in the skills of staff in these vital industries, we are fostering a culture of excellence and growth. This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to making a positive impact, and we look forward to continuing our work together to see the lasting benefits of Caroola’s levy investment and the training we provide.”

Caroola Group’s proactive approach in using their unspent levy to support industries beyond its own sets an inspiring example. By advocating for apprenticeships, the company is not only securing its own future but also fostering growth and development across other sectors, standing as a dedicated supporter and champion of apprenticeships.
