Lucy Peaker

Leader in Adult Care apprentice, Ability Options

Lucy is a Registered Manager for Supported Living and is currently completing her Level 5 Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship with Paragon Skills.
Lucy began her career in 2013 as a domestic staff member in a care home. This early role gave her valuable insight into the importance of a safe and welcoming environment for residents and sparked her interest in developing her career within the care sector.

Motivated by the difference compassionate care can make, Lucy took the initiative to learn about various roles within the setting. Her dedication to learning and growth led her to progress through several positions, gaining hands-on experience and deepening her understanding of person-centred care.

After many years in elderly care, Lucy made the decision to transition into the learning disabilities sector, where she found a renewed sense of purpose. Starting as a support worker, she quickly developed new skills and was soon promoted to Day Service Manager, leading programmes that supported independence and well-being.

With a long-held ambition to become a Registered Manager, Lucy chose to build on her Level 4 Lead Practitioner qualification by enrolling on the Level 5 apprenticeship. This has been a key step in enhancing her leadership skills and ability to influence positive change in care delivery.

Lucy approaches her apprenticeship with passion and commitment, always focused on improving the lives of those she supports. Her goal is to lead with integrity and ensure every individual receives the highest quality of care in a respectful and empowering environment.
