Future proof your workforce

96,000 vacancies. Increasing demand. Growing expectations.

The providers winning the staffing battle aren’t waiting for the sector to fix itself, they’re actively building workforce pipelines that prioritise scale and longevity.

The growing pressure on adult social care

England’s adult social care sector must fill an estimated 410,000 additional posts before 2024 to keep pace with an ageing population.

The employers developing their people today, will be the ones to fill that gap tomorrow.

Apprenticeships are a proven method of increasing confidence, skills, and staff retention. Better trained teams have also been linked to stronger CQC ratings, highlighting an improved experience for residents and those receiving care.

A visible career path isn’t just good for morale, it’s one of the few retention tools that’s entirely in your hands.

What future proofing looks like in practice

Apprenticeships built around real career pathways.

More than just a popular buzzword, future proofing your workforce is all about turning the people already committed to your organisation into the leaders you’ll need in the years to come.

  • Level 2-5 Pathways offer mapped progression and tailored modules that reflect the real life environments within adult social care. From Adult Care Worker right through to Leader in Adult care and beyond.
  • Levy and co-investment funding is available for larger organisations. You can also fund apprenticeships through levy transfer, or government-funded co-investments.
  • CQC alignment is a focus of all Paragon Skills apprenticeships, helping individuals to deliver “effective” and “well-led” care experiences for residents.

The Solution: A Structured Workforce Pipeline from Entry Level to Leadership

Paragon Skills has spent over 20-years helping care providers build teams that stay. Our apprenticeship programmes create a pathway from a new recruit’s first day to their first management role, and every level in between.

Our specialist care team can help you understand what programmes fit your service, the funding you’re entitled to, and how to get started without adding to your admin.

The Questions Care Providers Ask us Most

How do we manage off the job hours?

All Paragon programmes are delivered flexibly to suit the needs of the learner and their employer. With on-to-one coaching, online workshops, and in-person sessions we’ve developed a delivery model that works with the realities of a care environment.

How do we best utilise our levy funds?

From August 2026 new funds entering your apprenticeship service account will expire after 12-months, reduced from the current 24-months. This makes strategic programme planning more important than ever. Paragon Skills works with large providers to map out programme delivery, ensuring your levy is consistently being used to build your workforce.

How do you operate with a provider with multiple sites and services?

As the UK’s leading apprenticeship provider we have worked with some of the largest providers within adult social care. Our delivery programmes are designed to be flexible and scalable. Paragon Skills delivers nationally, with dedicated Personal Tutors that work site by site.

How do we demonstrate return on investment to our stakeholders?

Large Care Groups are increasingly expected to evidence workforce investment as part of contract renewals, CQC positioning, and ESG reporting. Paragon provides detailed outcome reporting, including completion rates and learner progression data, to support conversations both internal and with external bodies. We’re able to highlight real, measurable value, not just activity.
