Who is the Apprenticeship for?

This Apprenticeship is ideal for any of your employees that provide healthcare support in a range of healthcare settings.

These employees treat every person with dignity and respect and carry out routine clinical duties, such as monitoring an individual’s comfort and wellbeing and helping individuals to eat, drink, wash, dress or go to the toilet.

They also carry out non-clinical duties such as keeping records, making beds, tidying up the work area, and returning or cleaning the equipment used during a clinical activity.

Typical roles that this Apprenticeship will support are:

Healthcare Assistant, Healthcare Support Worker, Nursing Assistant & Nursing Auxiliary.

What will they learn?

This Apprenticeship is part of a set of standards designed to create a clear career pathway in healthcare for your employees. They will learn how to effectively monitor and manage an individual’s overall care plan and develop the confidence to challenge any areas of concern – all this whilst working consistently to best practice standards and delivering high-quality compassionate care.

Our Apprenticeships give your employees training that is tailored to your business needs and those of your service users, providing job-specific skills vital for delivering first class care.

How will they learn?

Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources your employee will need to progress quickly. Our intuitive learner management system ‘Bud’ will really bring the subject to life through interactive learning tools, access to complementary online resources and relevant social communities, as well as provide real-time learner information so that you will always know what your employee is learning and how they are progressing.

This Apprenticeship will develop your employees’ knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:
