As the natural progression from level 2, the programme will allow you to build upon the skills you previously gained, with guidance from your colleagues, in-depth training, work-shadowing and one-to-ones.
Mandatory units include:

- Principles of administration
- Principles of business
Other optional units include: administering finance, managing a budget, negotiating in a business environment, creating bespoke business documents, administering human resource records, administering the recruitment process, resolving administration problems, preparing specifications for contracts, chair and lead meetings, organise and deliver customer service, principles of digital marketing, social media and market research.

What you can expect
On successful completion of your Business & Administration Advanced Level Apprenticeship you will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration as well as Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.
As a qualified business administrator you will be confident in managing teams or tasks within a business environment and will be working to develop your administration skills further.
Your work could include:
- Dealing with internal and external correspondence
- Organising meetings and events
- Producing documents
- Managing administration systems and office facilities
- Developing presentations
The exact details of your job during your Apprenticeship depend on your specific employer, but typically you can expect to work between 35 and 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Flexible hours, part-time and temporary work are widely available.
