Develop your career with the Business Administration Higher Level 4 Apprenticeship

The Business Administration Higher Level 4 Apprenticeship is aimed at those already in a business role with senior administrative or management responsibilities. You may already lead or manage a team, or wish to develop your career in that direction. It aims to develop knowledge and understanding of more complex business functions and activities. Typical job roles at this level include:

  • Office Supervisor
  • Section Manager
  • Administration / Data Manager
  • Trainee Manager
  • Assistant Manager 

Upon successful completion of your Business Administration Higher Level 4 Apprenticeship, you will qualify with a Level 4 Diploma in Business & Administration and have gained significant valuable work experience.

What you can expect from your Business Administration Higher Level 4 Apprenticeship

The Level 4 Business Administration Higher Apprenticeship has been developed to support those already employed in a business environment role at a higher level such as senior administrators, team leaders or managers. During your Apprenticeship, you will be required to undertake a number of mandatory and optional units. 

 Units include:

  • Business Ethics
  • Resource management
  • Recruitment and selection of staff
  • Managing information and knowledge
  • Business law
  • Administrative systems 

In addition, you will undertake training to learn how to assess and manage risk, manage and improve your own performance in a business environment, prepare, coordinate and monitor operational plans, manage budgets, manage the office environment, and provide leadership and direction for your department.

The exact details of your job during your Apprenticeship depend on your specific employer, but typically in a full-time role you can expect to work between 35 and 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday and may include overtime.
