Develop your customer service career with the Customer Service Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship
The Customer Service Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship will provide you with an excellent platform to increase your skills, knowledge and experience in a customer-facing environment, in addition to developing your supervisory skills in your chosen sector.
Whilst undertaking your Apprenticeship, you could be working in any of the following customer facing roles:
- Customer Service Team Leader
- Customer Service Supervisor
- Lead Customer Service Assistant
Upon successful completion of your Customer Service Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will qualify with a Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service, in addition to Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths & English.

What you can expect from your Customer Service Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship
You will have already gained experience in an entry-level customer service role and have started to develop your supervisory skills in a team-leading, or supervisory role.
You will be required to complete a number of mandatory units whilst undertaking your level 3 Apprenticeship and these include:
- Organising and delivering customer service
- Understanding the customer service environment
- Understanding customers and customer retention
- Principles of business
- Managing personal performance and development
- Resolving customers’ problems
In addition to the mandatory units above, you will be required to achieve a specific number of credits from a choice of the following optional units which include: Communicating verbally with customers, promoting additional products and/or services, developing customer relationships, managing team performance, processing sales orders, resolving complaints, developing a social media strategy for customer service, negotiating in a business environment, managing team individuals performance, and collaborating with other departments.

Becoming a supervisor or manager in a customer service capacity is a skill for life and can open doors to a long and rewarding career.
Due to the varied nature of the customer service industry, there are many job roles that apply to the advanced Apprenticeship level. Dedicated customer service job roles include Customer Relationship Manager, Customer Support Officer, Customer Service Team Leader, Customer Service Supervisor and Customer Service Co-ordinator.
