These employees are real advocates of your business, from answering the phone, welcoming new clients and providing advice and guidance - they exceed expectations and can identify and respond to a variety of complex needs.

What will they learn?
Recognised by the UK’s leading hairdressing professional association (The Hairdressing Council), every employee undertaking this Apprenticeship will learn valuable skills to improve client satisfaction as well as developing their creative cutting and styling techniques.
Diplomacy, tact and confidence will be nurtured in each of your employees ensuring that every consultation delivered to your clients will be responsive, informative and inspiring. Your employees will become experts in your products and services and will share their knowledge with your clients
and their colleagues so that your business will be recognised for the exceptional quality of service it provides every time.
How will they learn?
Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources your employee will need to progress quickly. Our intuitive learner management system ‘Bud’ will really bring the subject to life through interactive learning tools, access to complementary online resources and relevant social communities, as well as provide real-time learner information so that you will always know what your employee is learning and how they are progressing.
This Apprenticeship will develop your employees’ knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:
- Advanced consultation • Hair types • Lymphatic system • Colour correction • Creative cutting • Creative styling and dressing • Muscles & bones of the scalp & face • Specialist treatments & consultations
- Creative cutting techniques • Provide scalp massage • Creative colouring techniques • Colour corrective techniques • Provide information advice, guidance & specialist treatments to clients with specific scalp & hair conditions
• Demonstrate professionalism • Greet clients respectfully & politely • Communicate effectively • Identify & respond to wishes & needs • Treating clients courteously • Client reassurance • Adapt behaviour for client needs • Respond to client advice • Strong communication skills • Understanding of client needs • Prompt & positive response to questions & comments • Allow client to consider the response appropriate • Provide service & product information • Ensure clients full understanding • Clear explanation if needs & expectations cannot be met

To become a qualified hairdresser is a skill for life that can open doors to a long and rewarding career. As a hairdresser or stylist, you could travel the world working on cruise ships or in spas, hotels and resorts. You could also become a freelance stylist and work for yourself either in a mobile capacity or by setting up your own business.
There is great scope to specialise in hairdressing. Completing an advanced level 3 Hairdressing Apprenticeship could even be a stepping stone to working in fashion or a theatre.
