Who is the Apprenticeship for?

The Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship is perfect for employees that want to progress their careers in hospitality. This Apprenticeship is suitable for employees working in bars, cafes, restaurants, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract catering.

These employees may specialise in an area or section of your business but are also invaluable in the support they provide to other team members - for example, during busy periods.

Typical roles that this Apprenticeship supports are:

Waiter/Waitress, Housekeeper/Room Attendant, Barista, Receptionist, Hospitality Service Assistant, Food & Beverage Assistant & Food Production.

What will they learn?

This Apprenticeship will equip your employees with the skills and knowledge required to offer the highest level of hospitality service. Your employees will learn how to recognise customer needs, know how to match them to the products and services of your business and work as part of a team.

The Apprenticeship reflects the flexibility and adaptability demanded of these employees - enabling them to specialise in areas of interest or business need, whilst developing the essential skills to support your wider business. Your employees will also shadow Team Leaders and Supervisors to help develop their understanding in this area, should they look to progress in the future.

How will they learn?

Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources your employee will need to progress quickly. Our intuitive learner management system ‘Bud’ will really bring the subject to life through interactive learning tools, access to complementary online resources and relevant social communities, as well as provide real-time learner information so that you will always know what your employee is learning and how they are progressing.

This Apprenticeship will develop your employees’ knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:

I've completed my NVQ in Hospitality and Housekeeping and am going on to do my Level 3 Team Leading. My assessor was great. Whenever I needed anything she was always there to help. 5 star!



Your pathway to success

Upon completion of your Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship, you will have gained significant experience in the sector, and you could be on your way to a supervisory role.

The next step is to take the Hospitality Team Member Level 3 Apprenticeship where you can develop your hospitality skills and knowledge at the same time as learning all you need to progress to a supervisory role.
