    You will learn how to guide and inspire your team to make a positive difference each service users’ life whether they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional, psychological or intellectual challenges.

    You will lead your care team, and will develop and implement a values-based culture at a service or unit level. Depending on the setting you may also be responsible for business development, financial control, organisational resilience and continuity as well as for managing risk and leading on organisational change.

    Adult care is a challenging and rewarding industry to get into. You need to have a caring nature, and a desire to give the best care possible to those you are responsible for.

    You will gain a greater depth of knowledge and expertise of particular conditions being experienced by the user of services. you will have specialist skills and knowledge in their area of responsibilities which will allowing you to lead in areas. You will learn to be a coach and mentor to others and will have a role in assessing performance and quality of care delivery.

    There are many types of settings you can work in as an Adult Care apprentice including residential environments for older people, day-care centres for those with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities, or even helping to rehabilitate ex-offenders.
