Minimum Wage Increase in the UK – Effective 1st April 2025: What it Means for Apprentices
Exciting news for apprentices in the UK! As of 1st April 2025, the National Minimum Wage will increase, including a boost for apprentices. This change follows the UK government’s commitment to supporting young workers and helping them build their careers.
What’s changing?
- The minimum wage for apprentices will rise to £7.55 per hour, up from £6.40 in 2024.
- This applies to all apprentices under 19, or those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.
National Living Wage (for those aged 21 and over) and the National Minimum Wage (for those of at least school leaving age) changes from April 1, 2025
