Paragon Skills celebrates Glad to Care Awareness Week 2025

As a leading provider of care apprenticeships in the UK, the team at Paragon Skills is proud to mark Glad to Care Awareness Week, running from 16th –20th June 2025. This annual national initiative from Person Centred Software honours the dedication of care workers and celebrates the vital contributions they make to society.

Supporting the backbone of Care

Care workers are the heart of our communities—offering compassion, dignity, and essential support to those who need it most. At Paragon Skills, we recognise the emotional, physical, and mental challenges care workers face every day. That’s why we’re committed to providing meaningful support through high-quality training, mental health resources, and initiatives that foster resilience, confidence, and pride in the profession.

Spotlight on wellbeing

This year’s theme, 2025’s campaign to emphasise wellbeing—offering live and on-demand sessions such as Motivation Monday workouts, wellness workshops, Tune‑It‑Up music events, Tasty Thursday baking, and Feel‑Good Friday dance classes to support both the physical and mental health of those who care.

Paragon Skill’s commitment to mental health

At Paragon Skills, learner and colleague mental health is paramount. Our approach focuses on supporting wellbeing through a range of dedicated initiatives, including:

  • Embed self‑reflection and wellbeing tools within our apprenticeships to build resilience.
  • Offer First Aid for Mental Health training for staff, empowering them to support others when times are tough.
  • Provide Shout text support with easy access (text ‘Pgon’ to 85258) for learners facing emotional stress and other mental health challenges.
  • Extend an optional module introducing apprentices to mental health promotion—encouraging open conversation and awareness .

Join us to create positive impact

This year, #GladtoCare has partnered with Care Home Open Week, encouraging care homes and community learners to open their doors from 16th –22nd  June for open days, performances, MP visits, and a national visibility map.

We encourage all Paragon Skills learners, employers, and partners to get involved by:

  • Registering to access the free toolkit for bunting, posters, event ideas, and social media assets.
  • Joining live wellbeing sessions alongside care sector colleagues to boost morale and connection.
  • Sharing your #GladtoCare stories—why you care and what drives you—amplifying the compassionate voices shaping care.

Supporting care workers

Person Centred Software donates £2 for every toolkit downloaded to The Care Workers Charity, which provides vital financial support to carers in crisis. Let’s top last year’s £1,070 donation and show the power of community support.

Why it matters

Care apprenticeships are more than training—they shape resilient, compassionate professionals. By promoting wellbeing during #GladtoCare Week, Paragon Skills reinforces our commitment to equipping learners not only with technical skills but also mental strength, emotional intelligence, and peer support.
