Paragon Skills to attend UK Care Week – placing apprenticeships at the forefront of the recovery agenda in care.

Paragon Skills is excited to announce our attendance at the UK Care Week Exhibition, hosted at the NEC Birmingham from Wednesday 6th to Thursday 7th of July; we are also honoured to be given a spot for our Commercial Director, Paul O’Hagan to speak at the exhibition on Thursday 7th of July.

UK Care Week is all about uniting the care sector; bringing together the care community to discuss the biggest issues facing the sector, celebrate the dedication and talent of care workers and develop a collective voice for change in the industry. The event is inclusive to the whole care community, all of who aim to make positive changes in people’s lives; sadly it’s these very people within the dedicated workforce that suffer the most under the challenges of the industry. This is where UK Care Week strives to help; from solving issues surrounding recruitment and staff retention, to providing support and training to staff, and encouraging employee wellbeing.

Paragon Skills will be exhibiting on stand E86 and we would welcome the opportunity to speak to any employers attending the show about their training needs and how apprenticeships can be part of the solution to current recruitment and retention issues faced by the sector.

Paragon Skills will be attending the event in support of the care sector; hoping to enlighten the workforce and industry regarding recruitment, retention, and employee training through a wide range of courses available within the care sector, for those wanting to begin their career in the industry or upskill their current workforce.

Commercial Director, Paul O’Hagan will be delivering a talk on the Recruitment, Retention and Wellbeing Theatre at 11.15 on Thursday 7th July. He will be exploring how apprenticeship delivery is part of the solution to ongoing challenges faced by the sector in terms of recruitment and retention. Through industry insights shared by our partners such as Skills for Care, Get My First Job, Princes Trust and Youth Employment UK, he will explore topics around how we encourage more people into the care sector and how we make care a career option of choice.

The covid-19 pandemic has impacted the care sector beyond anything previously experienced, and Paragon Skills see apprenticeship delivery as part of the future solution for the sector. Paul will discuss how apprenticeships can be placed at the heart of the recovery agenda within the care sector. He will be looking at how apprenticeship programmes within the care sector have transformed in terms of apprenticeship delivery, teaching, and training as a result of the pandemic and what this means for your business’s future.

He will also delve into more detail on the business benefits. What level of commitment is needed by you as an employer and what the key benefits are to your team, the apprentice, and the wider business.

Come and talk to us on stand E86 for a free training needs analysis and information on how apprenticeships could benefit your business.
