to £20,500 FTE depending on experience

About the role:

As an Accounts
Assistant in our Finance team based in Bournemouth, you will support the
finance department to allow them to effectively perform a number of
administrative tasks.

You will work
closely with the team to manage a number of key processes including invoicing,
issuing PO number and payment runs.

What will you be
doing?

·        
Administration of the credit control process –
sending statements and copies of invoices where required

·        
Follow up with customers to chase outstanding
invoices

·        
Identify urgent payments to be made outside the
set payment run calendar, liaising closely with the Finance Team where required

·        
Reconcile supplier statements chasing through
any disputed balances obtaining any relevant paperwork

·        
Filing/ housekeeping of all invoices, credit
notes, and other ledger-associated documentation

·        
Allocation of direct debit payments/ standing
orders and collation of associated invoicing

·        
Month end journals including but not limited to
accruals, prepayments & depreciation

·        
Update ILRs for invoices raised and payments
received

·        
Administration of the archive process

·        
Provide support to the sales ledger function,
raising invoices and incentive payments if required

·        
Contact customers for bank details to support
the distribution of government incentives

·        
Ad-hoc duties as required by the Financial
Controller and/or Management Accountant

·        
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children
and young people you are responsible for or come into contact with

·        
Be aware of GDPR legislation and comply with all
data protection requirements

What we need from
you:

·      
Experience within an administrative/ finance
role

·      
Excellent communication skills, written, in
person and via telephone/ Teams with the ability to communicate confidently
with colleagues and candidate at all levels

·      
Exceptional administrative skills with a keen
eye for detail and ability to maintain accurate records at all times

·      
Confident and advanced user of MS Office
packages including Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly

·        
Enjoys being challenged and finding new and
innovative ways of working

·        
Flexible and adaptable to change with the
ability to take ownership of tasks

·
