Providing a valuable practical element to the timetable
Vocational training can make a world of difference to some students.
With Paragon Skills, students will be working towards nationally recognised qualifications, approved by the Department for Education for reporting in the technical award category of the Key Stage 4 Performance Tables.
Vocational programmes for schools are a great way to keep practically minded students engaged in their education. We work with small groups, no greater than 14, guaranteeing quality time with the tutor.
We are proud of our noticeably high attendance records and exceptional success rates.
Working with everybody
We have over 25 years’ experience working with schools, inspiring students and involving parents. We understand the value of all working together to deliver a rewarding education and work flexibly to accommodate school timetables.
Our tutors undertake termly progress reports which are sent to both schools and parents. We also run parent’s evenings where parents and students can see for themselves our facilities and the well supported and structured approach we adopt.
We are happy to come into school to discuss options with students and parents to give a flavour of the type of experience we can provide.
Personal and learning development
We are actively engaged in signposting students, providing careers advice and self-development units designed to prepare them for work. These include support with CV’s and interview techniques.
Our vocational programmes for schools are a terrific introduction or route to satisfy career aspirations in the automotive and engineering sectors and are extremely well received by students and schools alike.

Harewood College has been working with Paragon Skills for over twelve years, giving young key stage four students the opportunity to gain a motor vehicle qualification while still in school. Paragon staff liaise very closely with the college to ensure that the individual needs of every student are fully met, this includes regular reports and student updates. A pass rate of over 94% is testament to the success of the programme with many students staying on to continue with motor vehicle programmes or apprenticeships after they leave Harewood. This close collaboration has seen Paragon staff supporting Parents Events, Career Days, Mock Interviews as part of their wider involvement with Harewood College.

St Edmund's has worked with Paragon Skills for over 10 years. Over that time we have received high quality provision in well resourced workshop areas. The team at Paragon are exceptionally well organised and always puts the learning of the pupils first. Our success rates have been very good - with 100% pass rates over the last 5 years. I would highly recommend Paragon Skills to any other School who wishes to provide alternative vocational learning opportunities to their pupils.
